Mission Statement

Our mission is to lay the foundation needed to foster well-rounded individuals (physically, emotionally, psychologically, educationally, and spiritually) that will develop into life-long learners: students of the environment, other individuals, and the world they live in.

The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. Dr. Montessori’s Method has been time tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world.

It is a view of the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. It is an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, cognitive.

The teacher, child, and environment create a learning triangle. The classroom is  prepared by the teacher to encourage independence, freedom within limits, and a sense of order. The child, through individual choice, makes use of what the environment offers to develop himself, interacting with the teacher when support and/or guidance is needed.

While there are many components that are integral to quality Montessori implementation, the American Montessori Society recognizes 5 core components as essential in Montessori schools—properly trained Montessori teachers, multi-age classrooms, use of Montessori materials, child-directed work, and uninterrupted work periods. Fully integrating all of them should be a goal for all Montessori schools.

Who We Are

As a home-based Montessori school, we play an essential role in the formation of all students' growth, and we work to foster each child's development so they can reach their highest potential. This includes
one-on-one teaching, individual educational plans (IEPs), and progress monitoring. Our unique approach allows our students insight that empowers them to become life-long learners.

We provide accurate data, analyses, and anecdotal notes to support our students and their families during pivotal moments of development and as a supplement to behavior modification, spectrum analysis, behavioral specialists,

occupational, physical, psychological, and psychiatric therapies, family counseling, homeopathic and alternative remedies. We welcome all of these tools and resources to assist our students in accomplishing their goals.
